Sounds really crazy, but listen to this:  Jane Seymour, known for playing Dr. Quinn and dancing with the stars on DWTS, says that her 14 year-old son is channeling the man in black, Johnny Cash.  The connection is not just in her mind, though:  her son is named after Johnny, who is also his godfather…Jane and Johnny were very good friends.  She says that whenever her Johnny met the country legend as a child, which he did numerous times, he was totally intrigued with his music.  Now, Jane says he writes amazing songs and is a serious performer.  “You’re going to hear about him in the next year,” she says.

Billboard is predicting that Taylor Swift’s new CD, “Speak Now” will sell between 800,000 and 900,000 copies in the first week, which would make it the album with the highest first-week sales of 2010.  She’ll be beating out Eminem, whose album “Recovery” sold 741,000 in its first week.  But can she beat him out for top selling CD of 2010?  Probably not, because his album came out in July and has had months to sell a total of 2.8 million copies.  But if Taylor does manage to hit the million mark for first week sales, she’ll be the first artist to do this since Lil Wayne in 2008.  Go Taylor!

Apparently it’s pretty easy to impersonate Kid Rock.  Get yourself the right kind of hat and glasses, grow out your dirty blond hair, and you’re good to go.  Now Kid says this has gotten out of control, with impersonators fooling fans, celebrities, and even the media.  The latest example of this is a picture that ran in Rolling Stone magazine recently of “Kid Rock” fondling reality tart Tila Tequila.  Kid says no way, that wasn’t him.  In fact, he had this obscenity laden statement to say about that picture:

“I wouldn’t be caught dead with Tila Tequila holding her f—— b***s and taking a f—— picture,” Kid Rock tells the mag. “I feel like I’ve gotten all the drama and bulls— and baggage out of my life, and then this s— comes up. I’m also trying to avoid lawsuits, and one of these people could get me in trouble.”

You hear that, folks?  He’s a changed man.  So don’t assume all skeezy dudes in hats and glasses and medallions are the real deal.

Oh man, that could be the most obnoxious tease I’ve ever done.  So here’s the deal.  Actor Jake Gyllenhaal has been spotted around NYC this past weekend with our Taylor Swift.  They went to Saturday Night Live together to watch Taylor’s pal Emma Stone host the show, they shared a meal in Brooklyn together, and then took a stroll through the park together.  So why my weird tease?  Jake, whose most famous role may still be Jack Twist in Brokeback Mountain, dated Reece Witherspoon recently.  Get it now?  I know, I know.  so bad.

You remember how LeAnn Rimes met her current man…they filmed a movie together while they were still married in real life to other people.  So do you think Eddie is quaking in his boots at all about the fact that LeAnn’s doing another movie?  It’s called “Fireflies”, and filming starts in April.  So, Eddie, I’m just sayin’.  You might want to hang out on that set a bit.  Make your presence known.  Otherwise, the charms of three different men (who I’ve never heard of and neither have you, I’m guessing) could be working on LeAnn.

I feel almost silly telling you that Taylor Swift’s new album, “Speak Now,” arrives in stores today.  I mean, you would have had to be living under a really, really big rock not to know this by now.  (Even just a regular size rock wouldn’t have shielded you from this highly publicized fact.)  So run on over to itunes and download it.  There’s something for everyone on there…some really traditional country like “Mean” and “Never Grow Up’ (which will make parents cry), there are a few rockers, and then some moody stuff, like the song she wrote for Kanye West, “Innocent,” and the song she allegedly wrote for John Mayer, “Dear John.”  I predict the tweens will still love her, but the critics will be fawning over her as well.  These days CDs don’t sell as much as they used to, but some are saying Taylor could have the only CD of the year that sells a million copies in its first week.  Me, I predict 780,000.

Gotta love it that this is Blake and Miranda’s idea of a hot date:  They went hunting together for giant gators in Florida and it was filmed for a Sportsman Channel show that will air on Wednesday night.  Miranda said she put her “gator hunting gloss” on her lips for good luck and they headed out into the swamps with a guide.  She then declared that big gator hunting was “hands down the craziest and most exhilarating thing I’ve ever done in my life.”  Catch the show Wednesday night at 7:30 and find out if they bag themselves a 9-footer.
