Eric Church and The Band Perry have already won ACMs!  They have been selected by fan voting as Top New Solo Artist and Top New Duo or Group, respectively.  But the ACMs are getting more and more like American Idol:  there’s still one more elimination round.  Even though both acts get ACMs, they’re still duking it out for the Top New Artist ACM.  Voting for this final round will open in a few weeks and continue all the way up until the beginning of the show on April 3rd.

Billy Ray Cyrus is not a Razzy winner for 2 years in a row.  What’s a Razzy?  The annual Golden Raspberries, awards given out the night before the Oscars, but for Worst movies and performances.  Last year, Billy Ray won Worst Supporting Actor for his role in “Hannah Montana:  The Movie” (playing Miley’s dad was too big a stretch?)  This year, he got nominated for “The Spy Next Door,” but he lost out to some guy in “The Last Airbender.”  For the record, I thought Billy Ray was kind of sweet in the Hannah Movie…remember that butterfly song they sang together?  But I am not in the illustrious Razzie academy, so my vote doesn’t count.

Not much.  But just FYI, on Sunday night (ABC, 8pm) you will see Gwyneth Paltrow sing “Coming Home,”  the song from “Country Strong” that was nominated for an award for best song.  She’ll be part of some montage-y event celebrating all the nominees.  You’ll also see Keith Urban in the audience since his wife Nicole Kidman is nominated for best actress for “Rabbit Hole.”  He’ll just be clapping and smiling , looking cute, and trying to look gracious when Natalie Portman beats Nicole for the statue (everyone says she’s got it in the bag, anyway…what do I know?)

Turns out Paisley has a huge crush on Carrie Underwood, but in this case, it’s Brad Paisley’s 4 year-old son Huck. Last week Carrie was hanging out at Brad’s studio on his property (because they’re recording their first ever duet together….yay!!!) and Huck fell in instantly in love with her. On Valentine’s day, he went out to the store with his mom and picked out some roses for her, then dictated a note to go with them: “I hope you have an incredible day and night. Love, Huck.” Then when his parents allowed him to visit the studio, he did the only thing he could think of that might impress her. He flexed his arms he-man style and shouted out, “Hey, Carrie!! Look how strong I am!!!” The guy’s got the moves already.

Billy Ray Cyrus sure got a lot of attention when he told GQ that “Hannah Montana” had detroyed his family and that Miley’s handlers had deliberately isolated her from him. Well, I suspect those very same handlers have gotten to Billy Ray, because he’s now changing his tune with a very official statement to People magazine, saying his previous comments were “explosive, and unintentionally so.” He continues, “My family is the most important thing I have, and we are working together to make sure our future is stronger and healthier.” Sounds like something that would have been approved by a whole committee of publicists, right? But of course we do hope that the Cyruses can pull back together and become a close family again. Billy Ray says he’s coming back to LA where Tish and his daughters are to get things going again.

Always so funny when Kellie Pickler visits with Ellen DeGeneres. Yesterday she shared stories about her elopement on New Year’s Day with now-husband Kyle Jacobs. She says when they were planning a wedding , she kept getting hung up on the guest list, finally realizing, “I hate half of these people!” (she then added, “nothing personal!”) Kellie also explained what she had engraved in Kyle’s ring: Their wedding date, 1-1-11, and the phrase, “Put it back on!” Why? Because if he’s reading the inscription, he’s obviously taken it off, and she’s not into that. Here’s the video:
