Blake Shelton’s career has exploded in the past few months.  His current single, “Honey Bee,” is breaking all kinds of digital download records, etc., and I’m sure the sales of his new CD next week will be big.  So what’s not to like?  Blake says all the success means he never gets to see his new wife Miranda Lambert.  In fact, the other day, when his manager said, “It’s probably only going to get worse from here,”  Blake kind of flipped out.  He says, “It was like someone shoved a knife through my chest….I started crying.  I had to be alone for a while.”  the result was this realization:  ”Do I want to be the biggest star on earth?  Yeah.  Am I willing to do what it takes to be that?  No.”  So from here on out,  time together will be a bigger priority for Blake and Miranda.  In fact, they’re together in New York today.

I sure was glad to hear that the whole merry band of coaches on “The Voice” will be back next season, which will start up in the Fall.  I think everyone involved with this show was actually kind of surprised at what a big hit it was.  So now you have people like Blake Shelton and his co-coaches, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, deciding to stick with the show because they’ve all gotten nice career boosts from it.  So come this fall we can get back to enjoying Blake’s vesty fashion sense, Christina’s amazing ability to flaunt her cleavage, and Blake’s mysterious ability to avoid staring at Christina’s cleavage!  Meanwhile, if you want to try out for The Voice, you don’t have to wait in line at the Rose Garden for 3 days, you just have to click here and follow directions.

In case for some reason you weren’t wishing you had been at Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s wedding last month, here’s a great video showing you what you missed. It covers everything from the rehearsal dinner to the “I do”s to the reception afterward. they must have hired the best wedding videographer ever, because the end product is really nice.

UPDATE: Dang it! the video was removed. I had no idea that it wasn’t supposed to be released in the first place. I’m not sure if it was meant to be just for friends, or if it’s a music rights issue, since there’s a “soundtrack” that includes songs by people other than Blake and Miranda. So we know that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert spent part of their honeymoon in Mexico at Reba’s Cancun compound:

Looks pretty perfect, but as Blake explains in this interview, there were a few snags, including some digestive issues, which he doesn’t shy away from mentioning.  He also says some sweet things about Miranda to make up for the TMI…

Remember that cute picture of Miranda Lambert holding a fish that she tweeted during her Oklahoma honeymoon with Blake Shelton? 

Very cute.  Very down home.  But the other half of their honeymoon, it turns out, was spent somewhere a little less down home and a little more upscale:  Reba’s Cancun mansion.  I found this picture on a website run by some Reba super-fans….they say this is her place in Cancun:

Now that’s a little more like it for country music’s royal wedding couple.

Look out Los Angeles, here comes Blake Shelton. “The Voice,” the NBC show where he’s coaching singers, starts its live rounds this week, so Blake will be living in La-La for the next month. If you’re a pigeon or a squirell, watch out. Blake says he’s locked and loaded and ready to honk off his “tree-hugger” neighbors. The best part of all of this is that “The Voice” is back in the 9 pm time slot…yay!

So now we know what Blake and Miranda are doing on their honeymoon….bass fishing!  Miranda tweeted this pic yesterday.  Very cute.  She also tweeted, “Mrs. Shelton here!  Winning!”

US Weekly has finally released the info they’ve been holding onto about the wedding, so here we go!  Here’s the cover:

They’ve also shared Miranda’s reason for wearing her mom’s dress:  “My parents have been married for 33 years, so this dress is already a good-luck charm,” she told them.  Of course, she looks adorable, and Blake agreed.  As Miranda’s dad walked her down the aisle, he said, “I couldn’t get over how beautiful she was.”  Everyone, all together now,  Awwwwwwww!!!!  US Weekly hits the stands today.
