He sings.  He plays guitar.  He writes songs.  He paints pictures.  He does animation. And on top of that, he’s an author as well.  Brad Paisley has new book out today, called “Diary of a Player.”  It’s a memoir of his many, many romantic conquests…oh wait…actually it’s the story of his life playing guitar, something he’s hugely respected for.  He writes about how the gee-tar helped him become the person he is today, and he shares the page with other musicians giving their side of the story.   To read a bit, click here.

From the looks of this tweet, seems like Brad Paisley will soon be seen on “South Park.”  He tweeted this pic of himself, which is a pretty good likeness.

No word yet on what happens in the episode or when it will air, but there you go…

People need to lighten up! Seriously. We all know that Brad Paisley’s tours are always pranktastic. All the bands get in on the action. So when opening act Eden’s Edge replaced Brad’s beloved West Virginia bus mat with an Arkansas Razorbacks mat, Brad got even with a little lighter fluid and a match. (see video below.) So who’s mad? That’s right. Razorback fans. You should check out some of the comments under the video when you watch it on Facebook! People down south take their sports teams SUPER DUPER seriously, like maybe ten times more than we do here. So to them, according to one former Brad fan, he might as well have burned Old Glory! And some of Brad’s Facebook fans are saying they will NEVER listen to his music again! Knowing Brad, he’ll find a graceful way out of this one. And on the bright side, I’m sure the fans of all of the Razorbacks’ rival teams are totally into it!

Two tidbits today came from police blotters across this great land of ours:

The first one is courtesy of Brad Paisley.  Remember I told you that more than 60 people were arrested at his recent show in Connecticut?  Brad has called them out a bit by tweeting a list from the local paper of everyone arrested, including their names and what they were arrested for (mostly underage drinking, but some other stuff, too).   His message said “Quite a performance in Darrien Lakes Saturday. We also played music.”  I get the feeling Brad would prefer it if his fans weren’t acting up in such a way and ruining things for the other ticketholders.

Tim McGraw has a habit of stopping his show to kick out rowdy audience members, so why didn’t he do anything about this one?  Four guys are still on the loose after Tim’s recent show in Buffalo, where they beat up a 19 year-old kid who had to be hospitalized.  They punched him, then kicked him while he was down.  Nice.  Obviously Tim didn’t see it or he would have probably had them tarred and feathered right there on stage.   Police are seeking any info they can get to try and bust these a-holes.

When Brad Paisley had the idea to do the song that is now known as “Remind Me,”  he got a little to excited and called Carrie Underwood a little too soon.

Cars 2 comes out this Friday!!!  But if you’re a parent you probably already know this.  The soundtrack is out already, and there are two Brad Paisley songs on it.  One, “Collision of Worlds,” was a planned duet with a british pop star named Robbie Williams:

But the second song happened after Brad watched a rough version of the movie. He was so moved by a sad part where Mater, voiced by Larry the Cable Guy, has a sad realization that everyone thinks he’s dumb. Brad sat down and wrote a song that they ended up including in the movie. Here’s a homemade video of the song, “Nobody’s Fool”:

Blake Shelton turned 35 over the weekend.  What do you get a guy like him?  Well if you’re Brad Paisley, you get him a large, almost-naked man with a bow on his head:

Happy Birthday Blake!

Maybe if he showed up at award shows inside a giant egg?

Brad Paisley’s brand new CD, “This is Country Music,” has debuted easily at the top of the country charts with over 150,000 in sales. Now that number would have put him at the top of the Billboard 200 chart for all types of music if not for a performer by the name of Lady Gaga. Her brand new CD “Born This Way” also debuted last week, and sold 1,108,000 copies, which is even more than Taylor Swift’s mega-debut week last year. So if Brad had waited just one more week, he could have nabbed that #1 slot for sure.  Of course I know which CD I’d rather listen to, but I guess a million people disagree with me.

Every year, Forbes magazine does a rundown of the most powerful and influential people in show biz.  No surprise that Oprah is usually #1 on the list, since it’s based on earnings and media exposure.  This year, Lady Gaga displaced Queen Oprah, putting her at #2, but what about country stars?  Taylor Swift is by far the highest ranked at #7.  Forbes claims her earnings in the last year have been around $45 million, but every time we talk to celebs about these estimates they always say they’re way high (or do they just not want to admit how filthy rich they are?)  Anyway, following Taylor is Brad Paisley at #48, Toby Keith at #51 and Tim McGraw at #61.
