I’m a big fan of the Brad Paisley/Carrie Underwood CMA hosting combo, so I’m happy to report that the twoof them will be back again as co-hosts for this year’s show.  Next week, the nominees will be announced, and the date of the show has been set for November 10th.

Whoa, dude, makes me feel kind of old that Randy Travis has been making music for 25 years because I remember so well when he first arrived on the scene.  He’s the guy who made country cool again, at least to me.  So to celebrate 25 years in the business, Randy is picking up the phone and basically calling whoever he wants to ask them to duet with him.  The album, due out early next year, will feature Kenny Chesney, Josh Turner, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, John Anderson and Carrie Underwood, and that’s just so far.  More will probably join up in the next few months, and I guarantee you it will be super cool.

Alright, everyone, just calm down!  Carrie Underwood and her hockey hub Mike Fisher announce they are building a house in Canada, and all the gossip rags start going nuts.  I told you already that US Weekly said Carrie’s moving to Canada (not true, anymore than it’s true that Mike is moving to Nashville…they’re going to continue dividing their time between the two places.)  Now the Enquirer says that Mike and Carrie are in a “screaming match” over where to live, with Mike “demanding” that Carrie move to Ottowa and Carrie “in tears after locking herself inthe bathroom.”  When two people have said again and again that they will divide their time between two places, this is just not a believable angle.  Sorry, Enquirer.  I know you got nominated for a Pulitzer and everything, but this one’s just not gonna fly.

Here’s what US Weekly is saying about Carrie Underwood this week:

“All-American girl? Not anymore! After a month of marriage, a source says in the new Us Weekly, country sweetheart Carrie Underwood is leaving Nashville for Ontario — where her hockey-player husband, Mike Fisher, is stationed with the Ottawa Senators.”

OK, everyone, just calm down. Carrie’s not leaving America for good. She’s not even really leaving America. The two of them have been saying again and again that the plan is to live in both Nashville and Ottowa, since each of them needs to be in different cities (and countries) for their careers. In fact, Mike even says that when he’s done with hockey he would love to live in Nashville. So yes, of course they’re building a house in Canada, but Carrie’s not moving up there and ditching Nashville.

Great news for Carrie Underwood as she returns from her honeymoon with new hubby Mike Fisher:  Her current single has hit #1, and that means that all 13 of her singles that she’s ever released have gone to the top of the charts.  The funny thing is that her current big hit is “Undo It”.   Not exactly the most romantic song I can think of!

Looks like Carrie Underwood and her new hubby Mike Fisher are having a swell time on their honeymoon.  And we know this because there are new photos documenting their EVERY MOVE.  Here is just one photo from People magazine showing them relaxing in Tahiti.

The article also explains how they got to have some “quiet alone time on their deck,” but based on the fact that this photo exists it must not have been that quiet or alone, unfortunately.

It’s getting to the point where we pretty much have to assume that Carrie Undewood’s wedding will indeed take place tomorrow, Saturday, at a fancy resort in Georgia called The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Plantation.  Papers in Atlanta and in Ottowa (where the groom-to-be Mike Fisher lives) are all reporting that the “Fisher-Wood” wedding has got the whole joint closed down for the weekend.  To keep up the “secrecy,” guests were supposedly told to show up at the airport and given tickets to Atlanta.  Now Mike and Carrie’s “entourages” have allegedly arrived at the resort, and it looks like it’s a go for tomorrow.  Congrats, you beautiful people you!

Oh, boy did she ever go CRAZY at her bachelorette party this weekend in Vegas.  At one point she was passed out on the floor of a club wearing only a hot pink sparkly bikini, surrounded by…Oh, never mind, we all know I’m lying.  Carrie Underwood never does anything awful or crazy in public, so as you can imagine, she had a lovely time sipping drinks with her girlfriends and dancing a bit at a Vegas nightclub on Friday night.  And that’s it.  No sloppy photos.  No ugly gossip.  End of story.

The local paper in Mike Fisher’s city of Ottowa is reporting that his wedding to Carrie Underwood will take place on July 10th.  They also quote a “source” as saying that it will take place at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, which is kind of random, but I guess could be true.  Carrie and Mike haven’t confirmed this, nor will they if they’re smart, but the date does make sense since she’s taking a break from her tour from the 5th to the 30th of July.

Carrie Underwood has made it into People’s hot body issue for this bikini shot:

And then there’s Jewel, who’s the cover girl for Shape Magazine this month.  Holy Smokes!
