Remember on VH-1 how they used to do “Pop-Up Video,” where little fun facts about the lyrics, the artist and the actual video would pop up in little bubbles?  It was super-entertaining, but they kind of beat it to death and finally put it to rest.  But now it’s back, and we can find out kooky facts about Carrie Underwood and “Before He Cheats.”  Check it out:

This week Tony Bennett, age 85, put out a Duets CD (that has a bunch of country stars on there, like Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley).  The guy’s never had a number one CD in all the 50 million years he’s been making music.  Sales this week for his CD are looking pretty good (even though he did make some controversial remarks about 9/11 that might set him back a bit), but then…along comes Lady A!  It’s Week 2 for their new CD “Own the Night,” but they are neck in neck with Tony and may end up beating him to the #1 slot.  Meanwhile, a reminder that you can see Tony Bennett and Carrie Underwood sing on Tori Signal’s favorite show, “Blue Bloods” tonight at 10 on channel 6.

Run for your life!  It’s Carrie Underwood!  Okay, in reality the only thing dangerous about Carrie, as is turns out, is searching for her on the internet.  Every year, the internet security company McAfee makes a list of people who are “dangerous” to click on because the virus/spyware people have attached bad stuff to their names.  In a way, it’s a popularity contest since they pick people who get clicked on a lot.  #1 over all is the lovely Heidi Klum, followed by the lovely Cameron Diaz and the not-as-lovely Piers Morgan.  Carrie is the 51st most dangerous person to click on.  Not exactly terrifying, but there you go.

People don’t really use that expression anymore, do they?  ”Boob Tube” means TV, kids, okay?  Carrie Underwood will be appearing in the season premiere of a show that Tori Signal loves called “Blue Bloods,” on CBS this September.  This time she won’t be acting, she’ll be singing with the legendary Tony Bennett, doing a duet that they recorded for his album, which happens to drop right around that time.  September 23rd is the date you can see Carrie on “Blue Bloods”.

When Brad Paisley had the idea to do the song that is now known as “Remind Me,”  he got a little to excited and called Carrie Underwood a little too soon.

For years, Mike has never believed me when I told him that Kelly Clarkson was still the highest earner and biggest seller out of all of the American Idol winners. Well it was true for many years, but it’s not true anymore. According to Billboard, who tracks all of this stuff, Carrie is now officially #1. Last year, Kelly had sold a total of 10,600,000 albums and 15,900,000 digital tracks since 2002. But now as of this year, Carrie’s album sales have topped 12,296,000 with 18,482,000 downloads since 2005. Yowza! Carrie also way outdoes Kelly in terms of concert earnings, with $66 million to Kelly’s $32 million.

Carrie Underwood is probably sad that the Nashville Predators lost in the playoffs last night, but I know she’s excited about one thing:  She can kiss her husband again.  Mike Fisher and his teammates had made a pact that they would refrain from shaving during the play-offs, and as supportive as she is, Carrie says the moutain man thing was not working at all for her.  In fact, she was on the verge of a kissing ban, but that won’t be necessary now that the Preds are out.

Now that Carrie Underwood’s NHL hubby is a Nashville Predator and they’re living in the same town, she gets to see a lot more action, and of coure I mean hockey action.  Here’s a video of Carrie’s husband Mike Fisher going after another player, complete with her reaction.
