When Josh’s third little boy was born, we heard his name was Crawford Marion Turner.  Cool name!  Then when we heard that he and his wife were going to call him “Marion,” we wondered if maybe they were just getting frustrated that they didn’t have a daughter.  Turns out that little Marion is named after — not John Wayne, whose real name was Marion — but Revolutionary War hero Francis Marion.  Known as the Swamp Fox, Marion was quite a fascinating character, a guy who used guerrilla tactics to defeat the British in the South Carolina area.  He was so popular that many places and things are named after him, including Marion County, Oregon, and the Marionberry!  For your history lesson, click here and read more about this interesting guy.

Josh Turner and his wife Jennifer are already the proud parents of two boys, 3 year old Hampton and 1 year old Colby.  And now they’ve found out that their third one is going to be a boy as well!  What is going on in Nashville?  Zac Brown has got a gaggle of girls (3) with one more on the way, and now Josh is populating the earth with one boy after another.  Perhaps Josh’s boys and Zac’s girls will all marry each other?

Whoa, dude, makes me feel kind of old that Randy Travis has been making music for 25 years because I remember so well when he first arrived on the scene.  He’s the guy who made country cool again, at least to me.  So to celebrate 25 years in the business, Randy is picking up the phone and basically calling whoever he wants to ask them to duet with him.  The album, due out early next year, will feature Kenny Chesney, Josh Turner, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, John Anderson and Carrie Underwood, and that’s just so far.  More will probably join up in the next few months, and I guarantee you it will be super cool.

Stalking is a very serious issue, and celebrities are often the victims.  But what if the stalker becomes a celebrity? Josh Turner was a big, huge Randy Travis fan when he was a kid.  So much so that he took a little trip to Randy’s home of Marshville, NC, just to see if he could catch a glimpse of his idol.  He cruised the streets, drove by Randy’s dad’s house, and finally settled for meeting a woman who had lived next door to Randy and had a nice big autographed poster in her living room.  Then many years later, when Josh himself was famous, he confessed all to Randy.  And as you might expect, Randy was a little shocked, but really, who would mind if Josh came knocking?

Whoa.  Seriously, country stars, what’s up with the crazy breeding these days?  Josh turner now joins the list of country stars expecting babies right now.  Josh says wife, Jennifer, was acting different (Read: crazy, if I know anything about hormones).  So he talked her into taking a pregnancy test, and even though the first one was negative, he didn’t believe it, and he was right!  Baby #3 is due in early 2011, and will join 3 year old Hampton and 1 year old Colby.  So let’s see:  Baby # 3 for Josh, #2 for Dierks, Joe Don Rooney, and Luke Bryan.  And Baby # 1 for James Otto.  Who’s next?
