They sure do love each other…Taylor Swift and Ellen DeGeneres, that is. Taylor visited yesterday to let Ellen know that she doesn’t have a boyfriend, and also that sometimes she thinks about kittens when she’s singing on stage. Here’s the whole deal:

And here’s Taylor meeting one of her trillions of huge fans:

Actually “Here for a Good Time” is his 58th #1, which means he’s had more number one songs that any artist in history.  But it is his first #1 as a songwriter.  George co-wrote the song with his son Bubba and another guy, which means this truly is a first for the guy who has broken just about every chart record there is.

Remember on VH-1 how they used to do “Pop-Up Video,” where little fun facts about the lyrics, the artist and the actual video would pop up in little bubbles?  It was super-entertaining, but they kind of beat it to death and finally put it to rest.  But now it’s back, and we can find out kooky facts about Carrie Underwood and “Before He Cheats.”  Check it out:

From the looks of this tweet, seems like Brad Paisley will soon be seen on “South Park.”  He tweeted this pic of himself, which is a pretty good likeness.

No word yet on what happens in the episode or when it will air, but there you go…

Congrats to our pal Blake Shelton, whose latest song “God Gave Me You” is his 5th #1 hit in a row!  So where did this song come from?  Blake says that during a low point in his up and down phase with now-wife Miranda Lambert, he was driving along in his truck and pushing buttons on the radio.  When he heard Dave Barnes singing the song, which he also wrote, Blake says he almost had to pull over.  ”I felt like I was hearing that song at that moment for a reason,”  he says.  Here’s the original version:

The TV show “The Voice” was a big hit here in the US, and it turns out that everyone in Australia loved it, too.  So they’re doing an Australian version, and now a newspaper there is reporting that Keith Urban will be one of the “mentors,” just like Blake was in our version.  If this report is correct, Keith would be joining Nicole Richie’s husband Joel Madden, Heidi Klum’s husband Seal, and an Australian pop singer I’ve never heard of…Delta Goodrem.  Quite a line-up.  And three of them have very famous spouses, I just noticed.  I’ll keep you posted.

This is not the actual guy, just a cool picture.

Looking to meet one of your favorite country stars?  Probably not a good idea to follow in this Illinois guy’s footsteps.  It seems he saw Reba McEntire getting into her tour bus after a show, and decided it would be a good idea to jump off the second level of a parking structure in order to get to her.  This caused quite a commotion, as you can imagine, even though the guy only sustained minor injuries.  Authorities treated it as a suicide attempt, until the guy told them he was just trying to get to Reba so he could say hi!  Please note that this strategy did NOT work.  I’m not sure how he thought it would play out, but he certainly did not get a meet and greet with Reba out of the deal.

Brad Paisley must have downloaded that “Fat Booth” app onto his phone or something, and his first high profile victim is none other than Carrie Underwood.  Check out this lovely shot:

Rodney Atkins has always been very public about his personal adoption story.  He was put up for adoption at birth, “returned” by the first family who brought him home due to health reasons, then ultimately ended up with the parents he has today.  He’s a spokesperson for the National Council for Adoption, and all this time he had never met his birth mom.

But now he reveals that a few years back he sought her out, and the two of them have a relationship now.  One of the main reasons he decided to pursue her was the many random people who started to contact him once he became famous… people claiming to be “family”.  He also wanted to express his gratitude to her for making the choice she made.

The reunion, which took place in 2008, was incredible for both parties.  Rodney’s birth mom had never told her parents she was pregnant, and had held on to the secret of his birth for all of these years.  She was also holding on to some major guilt, so when they met for the first time, Rodney says she kept saying “I’m sorry” over and over, while he kept saying “Thank you” to show her how grateful he was.

Interestingly, all these years, Rodney’s birth mom had no idea what had become of him.  It must have been kind of a trip to find out that he was a country star who she may have even heard on the radio!  Anyway, it’s a happy ending for everyone, and Rodney says his birth mom (who eventually married and had another son) has now come clean to her parents, so she no longer carries all that guilt around about her past.

Not surprisingly, when Keith Urban showed up on Ellen’s show yesterday, she roped him into doing something bizarre and funny. This time it was a fake commercial for Keith’s real cologne, “Phoenix”. Taking advantage of her lesbian status, Ellen is ALL OVER Keith, even licking his face at one point. It’s all to promote the fact that on Keith’s website you can make your own Phoenix ad and win a big grand prize. Here’s the fake ad, and also the outtakes, because as you can imagine, they had a hard time not cracking up while taping.
