Secondly, if you’re keeping track of the country baby boom, you’ll be excited to hear that the last Flatt to replicate, Jay DeMarcus, says that the baby on the way is a girl! Weird country baby trivia: Jay’s wife has a sister named Amy, who is married to James Otto, and who is also expecting a girl. So the girls will be little country star cousins!

Toby Hemingway, the guy who stars in Taylor Swift’s new video for “Mine,” is not exactly a household name, so how did Taylor decide it was Toby she wanted to “marry”?  She saw him in a movie called “Feast of Love,” which by the way was filmed right here in Oregon.  I never saw it, and I’m guessing it wasn’t a huge hit since it was filmed here (there’s a curse, you see.)  But now I think I want to rent it and check out Toby, who Taylor has been seen lunching with recently.  So back to Taylor…she says that what sealed the Toby deal was when she rented another movie he was in called “Covenant” to check him out further.  He strolled onto the screen in a sweatshirt with Taylor’s lucky number, 13, right there on his chest.  T-Swizz says she was sold the minute she saw that.

Taylor Swift hosts a chat today on this website  at 2 pm our time.  She’ll be taking questions fans have submitted to her on Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and all of that.

Technically yes, because she just finished filming a music video in Kennebunk, Maine, playing the role of blushing bride.  The residents of this small town, which also happens to be where the senior Bushes spend most summers, were surprised and excited when the cast and crew arrived and they learned that America’s most famous 20 year old was coming to town.  The church, which was built in 1827, is a classic white chapel, and extras were hired to stand outside and blow bubbles at the “newlyweds.”  Taylor’s mom says the video won’t hit the airwaves for another six months or so.

Forbes magazine released their annual Celebrity 100 list, which rates famous people based on their earnings, how much they’re in the public eye, etc.  This year, the highest ranking country star by far is Taylor Swift.  Not only did she pull in about 45 million bucks, Forbes says she’s one of the few music acts who can still actually sell music.  Kenny Chesney is the next country star on the list, but he’s slipped from #31 last year to #54 this year.  Forbes says Kenny makes about $1.6 million per show, which is almost double his closest $-per-show competition, Keith Urban.  Rascal Flatts also make the list at #62, Toby Keith’s at #67 and Keith Urban clocks in at #76.  See the full list here.

I was a little surprised by the granny panties.  But I will say that in all of the years I have known Taylor, she has always been a trend setter.  So as odd as this may look to us now,  we’ll probably all be wearing grannie-kinis on the beach next year.  That’s right, Grannie-kinis.  You heard it here first (because I just made it up.)

Lady Gaga is that pop chick who wears the crazy clothes and sings annoyingly catchy songs like “Poker Face.”  But she says the catchy song that sticks in HER head is one by Taylor Swift:  You Belong With Me.  Lady G says “When it comes on the radio, I sing it so loud and I’m so embarrassed! Because I so freely sing it so loud! You can’t help it! The song, it’s not a bad song. It’s a great song! I think it’s just because it’s very whimsical in a way that I’m not necessarily whimsical every day. When it comes on, I just get this … I wanna sing it! Every woman feels that way…. Taylor, I think you’re lovely and beautiful, and I think you’re a great songwriter.” 

…or parts of them, anyway.  Victoria’s Secret has released their annual “What is Sexy?” list, where they pick apart women and praise them for their individual parts rather than admiring their whole person.  Well, in truth, they include a few guys in this list as well, but anyway, two country stars made the list:  For Sexiest Hair?  Taylor Swift.  For Sexiest Legs, it’s Carrie Underwood.  Hat cha cha!  Click here for the full list.
