I love this! Maybe we’ll see something like this Monday at the Clark County Fair! I’m excited to see Dierks as he plays the Sleep Country Amphitheather with Josh Kelly.

A fight?  A hot love affair?  Nope.  A burning car.  Dierks Bentley was out on the town the other night after a Country Grammy nominee party, and he was having a few beers with Charles Kelley from Lady A.  When Dierks told him about his new wheels, a vintage 1967 Camaro, Charles got all excited and wanted to see it.  They headed outside to find that the car was literally in flames.  Not smoking, not “on fire” as in really cool, but ON FIRE.  Flames shooting out of the hood.  Thinking quickly, Charles ran back into the bar and got a fire extinguisher, then soon enough the authorities were on hand to take care of it.  Everyone’s fine, and Dierks even tweeted a little video of the action if you care.

As a former homeless teen himself, Jimmy Wayne (“Do You Believe Me Now”, “Sara Smile,”) wants to help kids in that same situation.  So have you heard what he’s doing?  Walking halfway across America.  He started in Nashville on New Year’s Day, and he’ll keep going til he reaches Arizona, sleeping wherever he ends up for the night…no fancy hotels or even seedy hotels, for that matter.  Dierks Bentley has just shown his support of Jimmy by donating to one of the organizations he’s doing this for, and Dierks hopes you’ll do the same by going to Jimmy’s website.  Warning, you have to scroll way down on the news story about the walk to find all the links where you can donate.  Jimmy, if you’re out there, you should make it easier to donate!  Get your peeps to remodel the website a little bit.
